This is where I spent most of my 4 months on VP8 when I wasn't at work, the radio shack consisted of a freezing cold portacabin, with an old TS-430S and 3 element tribander with a rotator that sort of worked when it felt like it, I have climbed that tower in - (a lot)c , well it felt like that anyway with the wind chill, believe me it was cold
I was QRV from may 1993 to Sept 1993, I would love to take a trip back to VP8 and re-activate my call, Having just made some general enquiries about costs, I think I will put that one on hold, flights alone can run anywhere up to £2000, Hmm I think not !
